Women at work
Happy International Women’s Day! Here at Opposite Wall, the team is a diverse and divine entity fuelled by strong females in every sphere. In addition to our Senior Creative Director, Autumn Wood, here are some of the women who help make our dream of quality art and decor for everyone a reality.

Roxanne Barbeau
Lead Designer
I have a great deal of admiration for women artists who have broken down gender barriers. I’m thinking of the 19th-century artist Rosa Bonheur, who overcame many obstacles to gain the respect of her peers and the recognition of the art world.
My greatest strength as a woman is my creativity! It allows me to connect with exceptional people, find solutions and create engaging projects. I use it every day and it allows me to enrich the lives of other women.
Fave collection? I fell in love with Bailey Sullivan’s collection — all the vibrant colours and folky motifs.

Éléonore Coppin
Graphic Designer and Illustrator
For me, International Women’s Day is a reminder of the fight we all wage on a daily basis for our own rights and freedoms. Women should be as appreciated, respected and considered on this day as they are every day for the rest of the year.
My grandmother is one of the women I admire most. Being 98 years old doesn’t prevent her from enjoying life with a smile, even considering all that life has taken away from her. For me, she’s an example of wisdom, resilience, listening, empathy and positivity.
Fave collection? Bloom. The design process was really fun and I put a lot of passion and hard work into it.

Laetitia Hunin
Paid Media Manager
My greatest strength as a woman is undoubtedly my intuition. This “sixth sense” that guides me in my day-to-day decision-making, both in my personal and professional life. This ability to anticipate by trusting what I feel deep down inside.
A woman I admire is Anna Wintour, editor-in-chief of Vogue US since 1988 — she’s a fashion icon whose influence on designers and global trends is undeniable.
Fave collection? Moody Minimalist.

Madalina Lazescu
Partnerships Manager
I admire my mom — her strength and resilience inspire me every day. International Women’s Day is a moment to honour the incredible women in our lives. But really, celebrating women should be an everyday practice.
I consider my empathy to be my greatest strength as a woman. It allows me to connect deeply with others and understand their experiences.
Fave collection? Happy Hour, although I love them all.

A woman I admire is my sister (I know, cheesy) because she works in a male dominated field but doesn't let any obstacles hold her back.
I think my greatest strength as a woman is my compassion and empathy for others.
Fave collection? I love all of the pieces that Audrey Rivet has worked on with us!

Isa Tousignant
Copywriter
My greatest strength as a woman is my imagination, I think, combined with my desire to always see the best in people and to foster creativity. I feel it makes me able to think outside expectations and collab with others to make my world a fun and positive place.
A woman I admire a ton is French turn-of-the-century artist Sonia Delauney, but then there’s also the late, great Iris Apfel — her design sense was second-to-none.
Fave collection? I really love By the Sea. It’s so fun and quirky and summery.
